This yellow Mach I is in serious need of repair. The question is, is it too far gone? If I get a break some time, I might try a restoration or maybe some type of odd modeling project like a scale Elenor.
I've been building resin bodies for a couple years. While it is not difficult to finish one of these cars, it does take some modeling skill. Here are some tips for finishing resin bodies.
Currently, all of my cars are under going retooling as I've worn out the molds. Here is what I am working on:
The 36 Ford is a copy of the Atlas release with a few alterations. The front post has been expanded to allow alternate mounting holes to be drilled for the Aurora tjet chassis. The rear spare tire is solid resin, so if you wish to remove it, you can carve it off and sand the body smooth. This car can be built stock or you can turn it into a hot rod, dirt track modified, or drag racer.
This model was painted by Terry Abbott from Portland Oregon.
An unfortunate attempt at a one piece resin body. Multi-part bodies are easier. This one will be dropped because Johnny Lightning will be offering one in the release 5 of their Thunderjet 500 slot cars.
